Most Frequently Asked Questions about Wolvmat:

1. Where is the tournament?

Answer:  The location for the tournament is a www.wolvmat.com.  The Worldwide Open OnLine Virtual Martial Arts Tournament is a real time virtual tournament where a competitor can record themselves performing a kata/form and after selecting their best performance they can register at www.wolvmat.com and upload their video(s) and submit them to be judged against other competitors.  It is exactly like a physical tournament, however with Wolvmat you don’t need to travel anywhere to participate.  It’s completely online.

2: Is the tournament strictly for Karate practitioners?

Answer:  No. The Worldwide Open OnLine Virtual Martial Arts Tournament is for ALL martial arts forms. Taekwondo, Goju, Shotokan, Shindo Ryu, Kung Fu, JuiJitsu, Aikido, Ketsugen, Tai Chi, Wing Chun, Wushu, Kenpo, Kendo, Ishin Ryu, Wado Ryu, Hapkido, Mudokwan, Sport Karate and (MMA) Mixed Martial Arts (For strictly Kata/Form participants in Sport Karate and Mixed Martial Arts) , etc. ALL martial arts forms are welcome to compete.

3.  The frequently made mistake:  I can’t make it.  I’ll be at another tournament or out of town that day.

Answer: To compete int the Worldwide Open OnLine Virtual Martial Arts Tournament, all you need is a video camera that allows you to put the date and time stamp on while you perform your kata/form. Then when you have your best performance recorded, you just go to www.wolvmat.com to register and then upload your video(s) and submit them to be viewed by the Wolvmat home judges.

4. How are the competitors judged?

Answer: The competitors are judge by the 5 Wolvmat home judges who have a cumulative total of over 200 years of martial arts knowledge and tournament experience.  You can read their biographies on our site, under the “Judges” tab.

5. How do we get our trophy(s)?

Answer:   The winners trophies, trophy cups and or medals will be shipped to them once the winners are announced and posted on the Wolvmat website.  The winners will be e-mailed letting them know that they have won and what place(s).
